Chapter 17: Two Birds with One Stone

Meanwhile, somewhere alongside the beach, Dingo and Dana were running through the shallow water together.

"This is so much fun!" Dana says playfully,

"It sure is!" Dingo says,

"It'll be even more enjoyable when I tackle you!" Dana says,

"What?" Dingo asks, but is cut off by Dana tackling him.

However, Dingo manages to pin Dana on her back in the water, with him on top.

"Darn, I almost had you." Dana says playfully,

"Well, being the clown of the litter has its moments." Dingo says, nuzzling Dana, "I'm an expert with playful activities"

"You sure are." Dana says with a giggle,

"You know, I heard there was going to be a storm tonight." Dingo says, getting off of Dana.

"Really?" Dana asks,

"Yes." Dingo says, "So I was wondering…"

"If I'd want to sleep with you tonight?" Dana asks, completing the sentence.

"Yeah." Dingo says,

"I'd love to." Dana says, getting back onto her paws and nuzzling Dingo.

"Then let's go." Dingo says, "It's almost sunset anyway."

Meanwhile…

"So, finally told Rico off?" Vincent asks Fiona,

"Yes." Fiona says, "At least you don't have to fight over me now."

"Yeah." Vincent says, "You did choose me after all."

"I certainly did." Fiona says, slightly leaning against Vincent.

"Hey, it's starting to snow." Vincent says,

"Dingo did say there would be a snowstorm tonight." Fiona says,

"We better get home." Vincent says,

"Right." Fiona says, walking for home.

"By the way, did you ever think of… having puppies?" Vincent asks, trying not to sound weird in front of his girlfriend.

"I've always wanted to." Fiona says, "Why?"

"Well…" Vincent says, blushing a bit.

"I see." Fiona says, "We can do it tonight."

"OK." Vincent says,

Later, the four huskies had returned home just the sun had set.

"Warm enough?" Dingo asks, laying his foreleg over Dana.

"Yes." Dana says, "Thanks."

"By the way, ever thought of becoming a mother?" Dingo asks,

"Yes, why?" Dana asks,

"Because I was thinking…" Dingo says,

"Give me five minutes first." Dana says, "I want to get some rest first."

"OK." Dingo says,

Meanwhile, at Jenna's house…

"You know, Dingo and Dana get along pretty well." Balto says,

"No doubt there." Jenna says,

"I'd be surprised if they were next." Balto says, "Three of ours have already done it."

"You're right." Jenna says, "Yukon and Nunivat have been away from their best friends longer than him."

"I can understand that." Balto says, "They'll need some time to get used to each other after all."

The next morning…

"Good morning." Dingo says to Dana,

"Good morning." Dana says, "You enjoyed last night, didn't you?"

"You have no idea." Dingo says,

"Think we should tell your parents?" Dana asks,

"Yeah, they took my siblings' news quite well." Dingo says, "No doubt the result will be any different."

Later, Dingo and Dana told Balto and Jenna the news.

"That's great, Dingo." Jenna says,

"We could always have some more grand-pups in the family." Balto says,

"Thanks, guys." Dingo says,

"No problem." Balto says,

"We heard that Fiona and Vincent did it too." Dana says,

"Wow, killing two birds with one stone." Balto says,

"Yeah, in the same night." Dingo says,

"And only Yukon and Nunivat are left of our pups." Jenna says,

"They'll take longer of course since their friends just returned." Dana says,

"Yes." Balto says, "All we can do is wait and see."
